How to apply codesniffer pre-commit for only project folder?

Hi,

I was working with CodeSniffer pre-commit in Git.
But I am facing some problem, pre-commit is checking all the framework files, js, css, migrations etc. I just want to apply only to my project code. Can anyone please help with any suggestions where to do changes to apply pre-commit only for my project folder.
