- Acknowledge mistakes, correct them, and learn from them.
- Respect privacy, consent, attribution, and project boundaries.
- Help make participation accessible to people with different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Prioritize the health of the community and its projects over individual status or ownership.
- Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or sustained disruption.
- Sexualized language, imagery, or attention.
- Insults, personal attacks, trolling, or inflammatory comments.
- Threats of violence or encouragement of harm.
- Publishing another person's private information without explicit permission.
- Deliberately exposing credentials, vulnerabilities, or confidential reports.
- Abuse of project access, moderation powers, or organizational authority.
- Other conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional community.
This policy applies in all Newfoundcodes project spaces and whenever someone represents the organization publicly. Project spaces include repositories, issues, pull requests, code review, discussions, events, and other official communication channels.
Report conduct concerns privately to hello@newfoundcodes.com. Include relevant links, context, and any supporting material. Do not open a public issue for a sensitive report.
Organization and project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards. They may edit or remove content and may warn, temporarily restrict, or permanently remove a participant when necessary. Reports will be reviewed as privately and impartially as practical. Retaliation against someone who raises a good-faith concern is prohibited.
Anyone responsible for reviewing a report must disclose a conflict of interest and step away when appropriate.
