Hi Newton team!

First of all, thanks for this awesome tool.

Since MuJoCo runs perfectly on macOS, I was trying to install this tool on my mac for my dev workflow, but it seems like it currently does not support running this on macOS. I suspect it's because usd-exchange is not supporting macOS?

Wanted to ask if the team has any plans to support this tool for macOS!

That's correct, the issue is the dependencies, not the converter itself. FWIW usd-exchange (and OpenUSD) are open source so could be built for MacOs if you're up for the manual effort.

Or alternatively, if its less painful than building from source, you could have a workflow that launches a quick docker job within a Linux container to run the converter. There are some tips about using usd-exchange in Docker here & it should be trivial to add the mujoco-usd-converter to that container.

I'll respond on NVIDIA-Omniverse/usd-exchange#5 as to why we don't have MacOs support yet.
