Transparent calendar still triggers Talk "In a meeting" status

Steps to reproduce

Description

I imported an .ics calendar into Nextcloud Calendar and configured the whole calendar as transparent using:

Calendar settings → Never show me as busy (set this calendar to transparent)

However, whenever an event from this calendar is currently taking place, Nextcloud Talk automatically changes my status to:

Busy – In a meeting

This happens even though the calendar should explicitly not affect my availability.

Additionally, the imported events themselves already contain:

TRANSP:TRANSPARENT

So both the calendar-level setting and the individual event data indicate that these events should be treated as transparent.

Steps to reproduce

1. Import an .ics calendar into Nextcloud Calendar.
2. Open the calendar properties.
3. Enable:
   Never show me as busy (set this calendar to transparent)
4. Save the calendar settings.
5. Wait until one of the events in this calendar is currently taking place.
6. Open Nextcloud Talk and check the user status.

Events belonging to a calendar configured as transparent should not mark the user as busy.

They should therefore also not trigger the automatic Talk status:

This should especially be the case when the individual event itself also contains:

TRANSP:TRANSPARENT

It appears that the mechanism used for the Talk automatic meeting status does not respect the Calendar transparency setting and/or the event's TRANSP:TRANSPARENT property.

Additional information:

I exported the affected calendar directly from the Nextcloud Calendar GUI while my user status was actively showing Busy / In a meeting.

The exported event still contains:

TRANSP:TRANSPARENT

So the transparency flag is preserved in the event data at the exact time when Nextcloud still considers me busy.

This suggests the issue is not caused by the import stripping TRANSP:TRANSPARENT, but rather by the server-side calendar status / availability evaluation not respecting the transparency state when setting the automatic user status.

The calendar itself is also configured as Never show me as busy.

Hi,

I had a look in to the code and yes this is the case. Its seems the UpcomingEvent logic has no filter for this, nor does it return the transparency information
