Sometimes it would be nice to have deep links that work independent of the mailbox (messages can be moved) and UIDs (the server can reset them per UIDVALIDITY).
For #2214 we create calendar events. It would be nice if they could have a link to the original message. So you can look up the details if necessary.
For efficient lookup we'll most likely need #2064.
Summary
Provide a permanent deep link to messages by their unique message ID.
