What went wrong, what did you observe?

I don't see a button for a new poll. Therefore I'm unable to create a new poll.

What did you expect, how polls should behave instead?

I'd like too create new polls.

What steps does it need to replay this bug?

With previous version of NC (and this app?) there was no bug.

Otherwise check the administration setting (/settings/admin/polls), if poll creation is allowed.

These workarounds don't work for me. Admin allows poll creation, changing setting has no effect on the missing button.

I fear, I can't help. Either some information is missing or something is weird with your installation. At least I can't reproduce this error.

• a table is missing, and can't get recreated --> i suspect something is wrong with your db, maybe check access rights.
• unsafe-eval error: another hint, that something in your server configuration is not ok.

I also ran inte problems when updating and had to edit the DB to fix the problem. Just go into the db with pgadmin or the like and add the nextcloud.oc_polls_options table.

I deleted the app with all related sql tables. Then reinstalled the app. Now it works for me, but my old polls are gone of course. I've got a similar problem with the mails app: Every 10 min nextcloud writes in the log: DbalException
An exception occurred while executing a query: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'nextcloud.oc_mail_attachments' doesn't exist.
Maybe SQL backup restore lost these tables?
I think I skipped some versions on both apps in the past, both apps had not been installed for some years I think. Maybe this is important too?

I ran tests with schemas and updates from about 4 years ago and the database integrity was fine after the update.

Polls does not go the normal migration way but checks all tables (the same procedure as occ polls:db:rebuild). And I have no idea, why it did not work for your installation, as you described before.

Sorry, I could not help, but without access to the particular system, I can only speculate from a view of a developer.

But I think, we can close this issue, right?
