Steps to reproduce

1. Launch the desktop app
2. Wait for the notification about a new release to appear
3. Click the notification because it says "Click to open page."

Expected behaviour

The web page of the new release is opened in the user's default browser to lower the barrier of updating.

Actual behaviour

Nothing happens on click.

Same happened on Windows iirc.

I can confirm, but I currently don't understand, why it happens sometimes...

On Windows it seems to be related to several apps using the same appModelId during dev, even if it was in the past.
