[Bug/ Feature]: Recognize all textfiles

What happened?

Acitect does not regcognize text files in general - the specific case here was an R script, ARCitect would neither recognize "script.R" or "script.r", another example would fasta files. Not sure if this is because only certain endings are recognizes as textfiles?

One could use filestats to determine textfiles, i think

IMO this goes in the same direction as providing preview support for any kinds of file types. I'm not sure whether ARCitect should be the place for this. It's not meant for coding, data analysis, editing (dataset) files etc.

yes but right now you open python files but not R files. But I agree preview should be sufficient. But it should be consistent

This is again a result of feature-creep. In the past the editor was only meant for editing Readmes. Then people asked for editing .txt files, then .configs and so forth. I would actually argue for removing this feature entirely. In the context menu of the tree view we can just provide an edit option that will defer opening the corresponding file to the system. @Brilator is the text editor used for something else?

I actually like the editor for markdown as it allows a basic use of ARCitect as a protocol editor (towards ARC as electronic lab notebook).
So, from my pov, only allow editing .md / .markdown / .txt should suffice; while everything else is at most "previewed" or preferably re-directed to open in OS default.
