ARCitect 2.0 Alpha-Release #991

@Etschbeijer

Description

@Etschbeijer

The new version of the ARCitect is implemented in swate. This avoids past communication problems in prior version.
Another problem is solved by the implementation of the new ARCitect. Users struggle with tinitializing an ARC for the first time. They are unsure how to start and assign their data.

The solution is the implementation of a narrative structure. This consists of two approaches that complement each other:

  • The Labview - the new landing page that enables the creation of ISA formats based on a questionnaire
  • The Diary - a new UI element that enables gathering of unstructured payload nodes that can be assigned afterwards to a suitable ISA format

The goal of this approach is to give users an easier entry point for the creation of their first ARCs. Additionally, it offers a more defined and improved structure for building the ARC step by step.

Current tasks:

Narrative Structure

Labview

  • Default landing page
  • Add questionnaire to determine the required ISA format for the data

Diary

  • Add a Node - Root folder that enables the collection of Markdown payload files
  • UI that searches nodes by name and content
  • UI that enables the assignment of payloads to ISA formats

Structural Problems

Currently, the ARCitect 2 lacks certain features that are mandatory for its functionality.

  • Authentication and login to the DataHub are mandatory.
  • Viewing and adapting multiple ARCs in ARCitect 2
  • Git-LFS to mark LFS files in the file tree for efficient handling of large data structures
