Thank you for using OrientPy! I have just released a new version (0.2.1) of OrientPy, where bng_calc_auto has been renamed to bng_calc to be consistent with dl_calc. The documentation is up to date for version 0.2.1, but you likely have a different version installed (0.2.0?). Version 0.2.1 is still under development, and its documentation was inadvertently pushed online. I will revert it to 0.2.0 to avoid confusion.

You can also try version 0.2.1, which should work with a local SDS data archive (instead of data obtained from an FDSN web service), although I haven't fully tested it yet. You can install v0.2.1 using:

pip install git+https://github.com/nfsi-canada/orientpy@v021

Got it, I totally understand it is not easy to mantain the whole package. One more requested feature: is it possible to proceed seed file on future? I am using 'rdseed' to covert seed to sac, and then orientPy works.

BTW, where to get access to the 0.2.1 tutorial after I have upgraded to it?

Version 0.2.1 allows you to read MSEED (or SAC) files from an SDS-formatted archive. Unfortunately, there is no ObsPy support for reading SEED files directly.

I disabled the documentation for v0.2.1, so for now, the only thing you can do is run the helper page from the scripts, e.g. bng_calc -h. This will give you an updated list of arguments. Both BNG and DL methods have the same script names, i.e. bng_calc, dl_calc and bng_average, dl_average.

I made a few more commits to v0.2.1, so I recommend you reinstall the package using the same command as above.

I just realized, you could build the documentation from v0.2.1 by first cloning the branch:

git clone -b v021 --single-branch https://github.com/nfsi-canada/orientpy

Then add some packages to your conda environment and build the docs:

conda install sphinx
pip install sphinx_rtd_theme
cd OrientPy/docs
make html

Once this is done, open the 'index.html' file located in OrientPy/docs/_build/html/ from your browser.
