A number of document are available within the NHS App, including:
- Letters as part of the Messaging inbox
- Test results
- Appointment letters
We have a number of ways that these are visualised using different technologies. There is work ongoing regarding which approach is best.
This however is complicated by the lack of control that we have over the letters that are delivered. They are typically generated by GP, PEP or EPR systems so they can vary hugely in accessibility features and format which makes it hard for us to react to the best way to visualise them.
The NHS App does not have permission to read or transform any of the content in any messages or documents that we show to users.
