Wait On Occurence.vi searching dialog when generating Client code

Dialog pop-up hangs code generation (looking for VI's) when generating LabVIEW (2020 SP1) client code from a proto file:

• Wait On Occurence.vi (seems part of "Shared" folder in gRPC Library directory)
• Wait On Occurence Wrapper.vi (nowhere to be found!)

@Arrowin-87 , can you provide a project with steps and/or provide the versions of the packages you have installed through VIPM that reproduce the issue? We have seen this issue pop up from time to time in the past, but usually only at run time with VI scripting code or when building VIPM packages.

The issue appears to be a LV issue with .vim files where the caller of the .vim is incorrectly maintaining links to VIs used in the inlined implementation of the .vim that are no longer being used. When loaded in the editor, these callers often present the "searching" dialog but then load without any errors once you cancel out of it. However, if the same callers are loaded at runtime as part of VI scripting, VI execution tends to break with missing dependency errors. The work around is usually to load and/or resave the calling VIs in the editor once. It's unclear in this case if you have some prior generated code saved against the old implementation that is the problem or if there is some issue with the code distributed as part of the VIPM packages themselves that might be problematic.

For reference, #443 is where Wait on Occurrence Wrapper.vi was deleted from the code base.

Hi,
I used v1.2.7.1 in the past and recently I jumped to v1.6.1.1 of the gRPC libraries. But it seems the code generator VIPM package is still the same version (1.2.7.1).
I am not using any scripting tool myself, just the GUI code generator VI that comes with the VIPM libraries.
When it starts, it almost immediately is looking for Wait On Occurence.vi and the wrapper version..

Not sure if it is important but the project file destination is still the same as before, so the generated code is put in the same (old) project file (I have entered a new name of the library).

If you update the code generator package to 1.6.1.1 so that it matches the version of the other packages, does the problem still occur?

I will do that and update it to v1.6.1.1 but I wonder: Why are the gRPC Library and gRPC Servicer packages up-to-date on VIPM (latest version is 1.6.1.1), but the gRPC Client and Server Template package is still at 1.2.7.1?
Why it is not available for download on VIPM?
