Assign pasting text to macros or combos

Is it possible to assign chords via macros or combos in this editor?
Zipchord is a good example of this as software

What I would mostly want in this space would be the ability to set a selection of text to be pasted when a combo or macro is completed. Ex. if I make a combo of m+e my email is pasted where the computer cursor is.
This way the behavior is tied to my keyboard and can easily be transferred between devices.

It does seem like you're basically describing macros and combos, both of which are supported.

ZMK macros support any behavior, so even entering a string of text requires setting &kp for each keystroke. In the app I have a helper: when editing a macro you can click "Add String Sequence" and type/paste a string of text to turn into the relevant behaviors.

Note that ZMK has a limit on the number of behaviors you can sequence (https://zmk.dev/docs/config/behaviors#kconfig). For something like an email address you're probably fine.

Got it. I was confused on if I'd use string sequence of if there was another way, but needing to set each keystroke makes sense. Thanks!
