It could be very useful to be able to switch the filter (smoothing) option based on sensor age.
A Dexcom G7 has a lot more fluctuations during the first 24 hours. It would be really nice to be able to automatically switch to second order exponential (more aggressive filtering at the cost of more delay) for a new sensor. And switch back to average smoothing (less aggressive filtering with less delay) after sensor age becomes greater than 24 hours for example.
Sensor age is already an existing condition.
But, I don't believe it is currently possible to control the smoothing option as an automation action.
