Why is it not possible to run console.log() in the function body of .execute()?

Here's an example of using .execute():

client.execute(function () {
            document.querySelector('#eye_button').click()
            console.log('clicked')
        }, [])

I understand that the console.log() won't be run, but what is the reason?
