Description
Within the configuration for the deamon you have some placeholders for profiles, tagged as TODO:
[Profiles]
TODO: Profiles are used to map the buttons and axis to keyboard events, and
can be used to write macros. This is a placeholder only for now, and is not
supported yet.
Directory is the location of the folder containing the individual profiles.
Directory=/etc/x52d/profiles.d
I was wondering whether you ever got started on this? Is there anything, even part started that could be expanded upon?
I'm quite keen to be able to use the mode select / pinkie button to expand the available button mapping to allow more functions to be mapped depending on the use case the joystick is being used for within games. Thereby replicating the features available using Saitek's / Logitech's Windows software for setting up profiles.
