cocofuse / Mounting RBF Harddiskimage crashes after about 10 secs

Hi,

I have an approximately 1GB image of an OS-9 operating system disk that I would like to mount with cocofuse.

After I have built cocofuse I can run the application and mount the image to a location.

However, the folder is no longer accessible after a minute at the latest. For a while I can move around in the folder as it should be. But then “something” happens and Linux denies me access to any file or folder. The folder is no longer readable via “ls” and “ls” also issues an error message in the folder above it.

I could at least see with the program Krusader that the folder is “turned” into a file that has reached a size of over 11,900,000 TB.

I have also tried to mount www accessible OS9 disk images on the net - but the behavior is the same.

Do you have any idea how I can solve the problem?

Enclosed are 4 pictures of the behavior. Unfortunately this is in German but you can see that the first two pictures show how it should be.

Then the symbols suddenly get the small lock symbol and “ls” also starts to give error messages.

Attached is the syslog too. Im running a Debian12 system with the Trinity Desktop enviroment.

I just tried using cocofuse for the first time (with an empty os9 disk image) and got:
ls: fts_read: Result too large
@boisy do you have any time to look into this?
