Recovery shell command not working

Everything is up to date. Took the command from https://nix-community.github.io/NixOS-WSL/troubleshooting/recovery-shell.html

/mnt/wslg/distro/ appears to be empty when just running: wsl -d NixOS --system --user root

My fault, wsl was not on newest version.
