`#nix-community:nixos.org` matrix weirdness

@aidalgol Could you share a screenshot from you matrix client please? I'd like to be able to see the activity in the room for the last day and the room info for #nix-community but you can crop out other rooms and people.

Wow, missing 242 people, missing most of the discussion from 22 Aug and there has been a few more discussions since then.

I've had problems with matrix or the element client being slow, sometimes not letting me sign in (unrelated to the recent outage), missing notifications or outdated notifications that seem to be stuck. I didn't think it was possible for it to be as broken as it is for you and still look as if it was working.

@Mic92 Is there anything that can be done about this on the nixos.org server side?

Can we see a pattern? The matrix.org outage was on the 3th September. Are those users from particular home server? Rooms in matrix are supposed to be decentralized. I think there was also something about the room version 13 where my matrix server got security update. Are clients or server now expecting that?
