Error "Field 'Resolved Date' cannot be empty" is displayed on resolved items after migration

I completed a test migration of one of our projects and see the following error message at the top of migrated requirements that have been resolved:

We are using a custom process based upon CMMI with additional fields (which are successfully migrated). There aren't any errors shown in the log.

The error isn't shown in the source project.

This isn't a problem for other work items such as bugs or features.

Looks like there are required fields that are not set when they should be.

It could be that your Source uses a different field name for the "Resolved Date" data and mapping it will resolve it.

I have checked the field in both the source and target and they both used the default "Resolved Date" field which isn't shown by default on the CMMI process. I added "Resolved Date" and "Resolved By" fields to the Details tab for Requirements and can see that they are both populated in the source and not in the target. When I edit the fields I can see that neither have the "Options" tab available so I can't see the field reference name.

I enabled debug level logging and I can see that it sets the Microsoft.VSTS.Common.ResolvedDate and Microsoft.VSTS.Common.ResolvedBy fields for Bugs and for Closed Requirements but not for Resolved Requirements.

I looked at the entry in the history that should have set this and compared it in the source and target projects and can see that there are differences - in the source it set the "Board Column" and "Resolved By" fields and in the target it set the "Activated By" field.

I have done the same for a closed requirement (which does have the "Resolved By" set in the target) and the source work item set the "Resolved By" field when we set the "State" and "Board Column" fields to "Resolved" but the target work item set the "Resolved By" field when the state was set from "Published" (a custom state with the state category of "Resolved") to "Closed".

I assume that the "Resolved Date" is set at the same time but that isn't shown in the history at all.
