The tool does not create any Iteration or Areas that are not either a) listed in the source, or b) the result of an applied mapping in the config. Please note that support here is free and best effort. You can purchase commercial support for your migration from us or one of our partners. |

We are facing issues while migrating work items using the Azure DevOps Migration Tool (version 16.0.5). Specifically, the area and iteration paths in the target project are not maintaining the correct hierarchy as defined in the source project. Additionally, the tool is creating extra and misplaced area/iteration nodes that do not exist in the source. This is leading to inconsistent structure and duplication in the target project setup.
