I2C code not up to date

In https://github.com/nkolban/esp32-snippets/tree/master/hardware/displays/U8G2 :
The HAL code is written using deprecated I2C driver code, causing errors when using more recent versions of esp-idf, could you please update this code so that it can be used with the latest esp-idf version ?
