This may be implicit info or my assumption can be wrong but does the built in node:zlib module provide data integrity check after decompression? like a built in CRC check?
The documentation does point to Error codes which feels it does but can this be explicitly stated as either Yes or No on documentation pages?

It depends on the stream type. Gzip uses CRC-32 (brotli too, I think) but raw deflate has no such thing.

A pull request documenting that would be welcome.
