[bug] SafeSpace form clears form data on failed submissions

I've had complaints that it's hard to use for this reason.

Nearly the same question, my jumping in point, so/clear on php form success. Some answers relate to PHP form handling alone, some also rely on jquery or dom-triggered js.

Keeping notes here as I work towards a solution.
