Invisible Unicode and watermarks: what the evidence says

Not a watermark -- invisible Unicode chars (U+200B, U+00A0, U+202F) in LLM output are training/tokenization artifacts, not intentional watermarks. Trivially stripped; all real watermarks use token-selection instead.

Turnitin AI detector -- claims 98% accuracy, <1% FPR. Closed methodology. Several universities disabled it (Vanderbilt, Michigan State, Northwestern). Independent tests show higher FPR.
