candlelight and Cangaroo

I use the Candlelight firmware for USB to CAN conversion and the Cangaroo software on Windows 10, but Cangaroo cannot find the CAN tool.

Also after ZADIG install - Cangaroo cant find interface too

The Hardware

I bought a aliexpress "Makerbase CANable USB to CAN" // it's a clone of https://canable.io

Update Software by DUF

it can run with 4 diftent protocols / softwares they all work in Cangaroo

1. slcan (9fddea4 6/29/2023)
2. slcan legacy (1205aa6 4/10/2019)
3. candlelight (a8a0757) // USB
4. candlelight (68df7d5 1/3/21)

It can bee updated over USB by Device Firmware Update, or short DFU
By moving the jumper to bootloader mode
The 2 wayes:

1. The easy way Update from Browser it only works in Google Chrome Updater CANable https://canable.io/updater/
2. DUF USB Software updater | https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stsw-stm32080.html#overview
   Instalation Path Windows7: C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\Software\DfuSe v3.0.6\Bin

The 2 Protocols

• Slcan: is a simple virtual comport that just works

Hello! Pardon me, where did you get these firmwares? I used these before:

Can you tell me what else software in windows you can use with SLCAN and Candel in windows? Which Windows i should have? Now i have 11 x64. And driver for windows you provided - should be installed on COM port of the device? because its already installed. Do you have any instant messenger to communicate pM plz?

slcan is a comport so when you plug it in your pc you get ex. com29
then you can start a terminal program like hyperterminal on that comport com29,57600,n,8,1
and see the data

Oh i see you have v1 hardware. I have 2.0 and looks like nothing works with candlelight in cangaroo...

i have a project where i'm using slcan then it's simple to make your own application
but candlelight is faster becurse it uses WinUSB, Both Slcan and Candlelight works in cangaroo

Thanks but its all for 1.0 hardware. As i said - none of FW with 2.0 hardware working with candlelight and cangaroo
