Subtasks marking complete

if it creates a task view like:

- [] 2. foo
- [ ] 2.1 bar
  - Add version detection and URL construction for GitHub releases
  - _Requirements: 1.1, 1.2, 7.1, 7.2_

- [ ] 2.2 blah
  - xyz
  - _Requirements: 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4_

If I click start task on the 2 it will do 2.1 AND 2.2 and any others (awesome) however its not marking the tasks as done back in the task list.

Please can you either remove the Start Task on the 2 parent task, or make it tick all the boxes?

update: actually sometimes the LLM does go and update the subtasks, but not consistently

Thanks for your feedback! You're right, this is indeed an issue. When executing a parent task, Claude completes all subtasks but doesn't update their completion status in the task list.

I've already added relevant constraints in the prompt (spec-workflow-starter.md line 284):

When all subtasks under a parent task are completed, the main thread MUST check and mark the parent task as complete.

However, instruction compliance seems insufficient. I'll further optimize the prompt to ensure:

1. When executing a parent task, automatically mark all subtasks as completed
2. After subtasks complete, check and update parent task status
