issues with NE app (after patching the loading error in #116)

What is happening?
after patching the NE in #116,

• the shortcut to open NE menu stopped working. even the console method doesn't work.
• in database table view, the buttons that appear when hovering on cells (i.e. "copy" and "open") have shifted to the left side of each cell

What should be happening?

• NE menu should be accessible through the shortcut and console methods
• buttons should appear on the right side

reopening this issue as the database buttons are somehow bugged again on my Mac, after they seemingly resolved for the past 2 days.

accessing the NE menu via shortcut and console methods seem to have worked for me again, for the time being anyway.
