compile error: line 631 main module subscript out of range

I used Git to download the current files, unzipped the 4.41 binary to run on my new M4 MacBook Pro (!)
Put the BAS file in the folder with SDECB, ran it and chose "compile with Makefile"

confirmed that a leading ":" caused the problem. removing it allowed compile to continue.
I used leading colons for formatting at times
