No autoconf setup?

Excited to discover that pclu is available on Github. Building it is more challenging than I'd hoped — it seems that there is no automatic configuration for the header files. Seems like this should be added for improved automation.

I resuscitated it from the old DEC SRC LARCH work. It definitely deserves a cleanup/de-bitrot to get it working with more modern systems. I don't really have the time at the moment due to work/2 young children, but I'd love to help an interested student on your part to get it back up and running.
