Click-and-drag to draw ellipse (and rectangle) to measure

I'm always frustrated whenever I want to measure the attenuation (HU) of a lesion, after selecting the ellipse option, I have to click once, then move the mouse which creates a line, then move the mouse again which creates an ellipse with that line as a "base/tangent". This is an unconventional way to draw an ellipse.

Description of the new feature/enhancement

Humble request to modify the ellipse drawing feature such that we can simply click and drag to draw an ellipse in a single mouse move. That would make HU measurements much easier. Same thing for rectangle as well.

In Weasis, it is a requirement to be able to draw any annotation or measurement in any direction. This is necessary to allow editing and maintaining consistency when the canvas itself can be rotated. The current method for drawing rectangles and ellipses was specifically adapted for this purpose. In fact, it was also a feature request by several users to support drawing ellipses in any direction, not just as axis-aligned shapes.

That makes sense. Maybe a new "circle" drawing option can be added that can be drawn in a single click-and-drag event. A circle wouldn't have any direction, so can be drawn with a single mouse movement, and that would make quick 'HU' measurements much simpler.
