Could searvey be part of the "growing the family"?

Hi all,

searvey (readthedocs) aims to provide (abridged):

• Unified catalogue of observational data including near real time (WIP).

• On demand data retrieval from multiple sources that currently include:

  • U.S. Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS)
  • Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ); Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC)
  • U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
  • Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS)

I learned about searvey from Matt Biddle at NOAA awhile ago and thinking it could be a good thing to look for the Dec 15 hackday (#1118).

@asteiker, could this be something that we label for the hackday and folks could weigh in asynchronously leading up to the hackday about whether or what steps to take to collaborate? I'm happy to help liaise as I can as well.

Thank you for introducing us to searvey @jules32 ! I just created new labels to match several of our hackday tracks, including impact: stac to represent issues and discussions relating to data expansion via STAC utilization. I added the label here, so we can more easily find and track related activity in our repo.
