Request for feedback: QGreenland v3 Alpha 4 now available

We are excited to announce that QGreenland v3 is well underway. We have published another pre-release (QGreenland v3.0.0alpha4) and we would like your feedback!

We are gathering feedback with a Google Form, which will then be aggregated on GitHub.

The deadline for feedback is August 6, 2023. We plan to incorporate your feedback into the final v3 release, scheduled for late August.

You can find a full list of current v3 changes in our CHANGELOG. Highlights include:

• Updated minimum supported QGIS version to 3.28 LTS.
• Resolved an error message related to missing "Helvetica" font in some operating systems.
• Many new layers, including:
  • New Asiaq/NunaGIS layers: Places>Buildings, Places>Roads
  • Biology>Vegetation>Vegetation classification map (1km)
  • Geology>Tectonic plates
  • Internet-required data>Topographic map of Greenland
  • Internet-required data>Satellite orthophoto mosaic (10-0.2m)
  • Internet-required data>Blue Marble shaded relief and Bathymetry (500m)
• Updated some datasets to their newest version, including:
  • BedMachine v5
  • Sea Ice Index 2022
  • Geothermal Heat Flow v2
  • World Ocean Atlas 2023
  • Climate Change Initiative v3
• Removed some layers, including:
  • Humanitarian Open Street Maps
  • Biology>Fish>Arctic Char

This shouldn't affect your use of QGreenland, but if it does, please let us know. To make the message go away, upgrade to the latest version of QGIS 3.28 or newer.
