Fix checklinks github action

checklinks: is inconsistent in finding errors (see error log).

Fix the broken links and figure out if checklinks can be used with pay walled articles.

hey Andy, Prisha Sharma here I have tried to solve this issue and made a PR

@parharti so we fixed the links but I don't know that the automated checker will work. Is it ready to turn on again?
