[PYTHON] Program execution time increases

[PYTHON]
Program execution time increases significantly with each subsequent run. Each subsequent run of the same program increases the execution time by approximately 10%.

Why is this happening?
It shouldn't be like this – the calculator can't run slower and slower. This causes many simulation problems to become unreasonable on the NumWorks calculator.

Environment

• Software version 24.10
• The platform(s) on which the problem happens: actual device. Of course, it is less visible in the online simulator.

I think this problem is due to the console being redrawn each time even if nothing is actually printed by the script (you can see the output blinking on screen during execution if the output cover the whole screen).
You can work around it by using the graphic screen

from kandinsky import *
set_pixel(0,0,(255,)*3)

# Do stuff...

text = "Hello World!"
draw_string(text,0,0)
print(text)

By both printing the text and using draw_string you can get copy-paste working as usual, but without the slowness of the console by printing using draw_string (but by doing so, you loose the on-screen history during program execution, even if it's accessible once you exit the graphic screen).

Another workaround is to clear the console before each run manually (shift + clear), which will reduce execution time by a lot without loosing the current execution scrollback display

Of course a real fix from NumWorks would be better
