Underline Formatting Doesn't Work

Hi, I wanted to know if this is an issue on orgmode's side or my configuration.
As you can see in the image _abc_ doesn't get underlined, however links are getting underlined properly (Orgmode).

I'm using Kitty and JetBrainsMono Nerd Font
