feature request: add basic support of area lights

maybe possible to add basic support of area lights?
add emissives to list of lights and uniformly sampling can be ok.
RIS and more I can add by myself

This would be interesting. Do you have a glTF scene with area lights?

I mean emissive triangles.
It can be used as area lights.
Bistro scene, zero day scene contain many emissive triangles.
For me is complicated to make big array of lights. I not too proficient in vulkan programming and my program is hangs up

one of idea to minimize size of area lights array - use index of first triangle in node and number of triangles

Hi, thanks for sharing the scenes.

Using emissive material isn't as efficient as using dedicated lights, but it should produce a similar result in the long term. With DLSS, this is almost instant, reducing the need for an alternative structure. Here are the rendering results.

red picture - grayscale only image(1 channel). but put info only in red channel image.
I fixed same images loading with convert to rgba
