Consider AGG for raster graphics

I just came across your package and find it very interesting, especially in combination with {httpgd}. Is there any way to use ragg_png for PNG?

Unigds renderers run outside of the R thread on a separate memory representation of the graphics, so there is no way to use conventional R graphics devices with them.

That said I am considering switching out our Cairo based PNG+TIFF renderer with AGG (which ragg is of course based on) down the line for higher raster graphics fidelity.
