We are currently looking into this, and communicating indirectly with Blizzard to see how many features oUF (and other unit frame addons) will be able to keep in the upcoming expansion. It's likely that oUF will still exist, but there will be compromises in functionality compared to what we have now. All we can expect is feature parity with the default UI, nothing more. |

The basics of oUF already work, to some degree, but it's not a complete alternative to the default unit frames, which is what oUF is supposed to be. Without 1:1 feature parity there isn't much point in using oUF, you could get health, power and portraits much easier than this, oUF just makes it convenient. Moreover, if it's too much of a bother to maintain it's not in any of our interest to throw a lot of our spare time into something that will be sub-par, other solutions will rise and take its place. And if that doesn't happen, complain to Blizzard, they're the ones screwing us. |
