I'd like to suggest adding bulk import features that target my use case, described below:
My Use Case
My goal is to take this permaculture design card deck (original source) and import it into Cider, such that the card deck can be printed two-sided on 8.5 x 11" paper.
Right now, I am using Claude to split the PDF into individual images and having it build a custom database.json containing the image data for importing into Cider.
From there, I adjust the front and back card templates and export to PDF.
Suggested Features
I think this workflow could be made more accessible by providing the option to bulk import either a set of images, PDFs, and/or a multi-page PDF into Cider, with the ability for the user to indicate the order of the cards.
e.g.
- Image/PDF 1 is the front of card 1, image/PDF 2 is the back of card 1
OR
- The images/PDFs only correspond to frontsides (no card backsides)
If bulk import is implemented, bulk delete should also be implemented.
Happy to elaborate further but just wanted to get an initial proposal sent.
