"Please close Interception before starting the game" - Easy AntiCheat

Literally 2 days ago it was working fine in the game, but after the update it doesn't even let me open Fortnite. Is there a way to fix this without uninstalling the Interception?

eac is now checking if interception driver(s) is loaded from usermode so find a new method
i am not sure exactly how they are checking it but i would assume they are simply checking for the driver file as one of their checks in system32 drivers but obviously eac is not slow so its not the only check

It's pretty dumb actually. They check if mouse.sys and keyboard.sys exists in system32/drivers. So if you just rename those two, start the game and then change them back afterwards it'll work just fine.
You just have to remember to change them back otherwise the next time you start your computer your mouse and keyboard won't work :)
So one way to fix this is if Interception used file names that weren't static. Either something random, generated at installation or something tied to the computer it's installed on like the hard drive serial number or something.

ur right, but they do check if the file is linked to a module because if u replace it with a fake mouse.sys + keyboard.sys then it doesnt do anything. very lazy from them icl

I hope someone can make a new build or fork that just uses different file names for now, that should be sufficient until a better solution can be implemented. I have very little experience with c++ development otherwise I'd do it myself.

This is so lazy on EAC's part, guess they are just saying "f*ck people with carpel tunnel or disabilities", now? Modded arrow keys on my homerow and colemak layout are the only way I can use my laptop's keyboard without pain. Like I can play a game without it, but 'nooooo' stopping the program isn't enough because they are using the most braindead 'detection' method possible.

There is the option of not playing the games which employ EAC and asking for a refund. It's true that if a single person does it, nothing will change, but if multiple people actually start voting with their wallets, some game companies might listen. Just a little.

That's not really an option for me, if I have to choose between Genshin Impact and Fortnite I will always choose Fortnite. Genshin I play by myself but Fortnite I play with my family.
