Second, are you familiar with Readwise Reader? It's in public beta, kinda like a parallel timeline's Google Reader/read-it-later service. When you load a Youtube video, it gives you a video and the transcript, and you can click on the phrases and it jumps to the section of the video. Of course, per the read-it-later service heritage, it keeps track of how far you got and has other features, but I figure you may want to hear about similarly inspired things.

Yeap. Me too, I'm just here to say that.

Just bumped into this tool today.
Such a brilliant idea, an awesome tool writen in Perl.

I specially like that you:

• used and built upon solid, reliable, and here to stay tools (ffmpeg, yt-dlp)
• choose a good old time tested scripting language Perl (instead of a bloated solution with something else)
• ... and therefore there is nothing "to install" or stupid dependencies
