Opening Splits Below

Given the (potential) width of a Kanban board with several lanes, it would be good to be able to pin the kanban full width at the top of a window and then have links open cards/notes as vertical splits below it, instead of next to it. Much like pinning the Kanban as a header or top pane for the notes.

Not sure this is possible in a plug-in; perhaps Obsidian itself needs to offer us more options for new split/pane placement.
