Anything between [] is being listed as a task

I feel like I'm missing something as I assumed that alternate checkboxes not added to Custom Statuses wouldn't be listed in Tasks embeds but I'm getting all of them. I don't want this to happen as I use alternate checkboxes as "fancy bullets" that aren't tasks. Is there a way to globally enforce only listing Custom Statuses rather than anything between []?

The thing is, one person's "fancy bullet" is someone else's high priority task.

So the Tasks settings allows you to define the meanings (categories) for each status symbol (between []) in your vault.

Use NON_TASK as the Status Type for your "fancy bullets"...

Ah! NON_TASK + adding status.type is not NON_TASK to Global query was what I was looking for.

The thing is, one person's "fancy bullet" is someone else's high priority task.

Not disagreeing, just the other way is true too.
