I know what you mean. I too am spending too much time bumping tasks over to the next day, instead of actually completing tasks! |

Thank you for the idea! I understand completely what you mean. I only have the concern that yet another button will start clogging up the task lines. Maybe at some point we will need a menu pop-up. In the meantime, I want to challenge your behavior (as a workaround basically). Instead of rescheduling the tasks every day to the next day, why don't you keep their original scheduled dates? Benefit: you see for how long you kept putting off the task. Your daily query should query for tasks "scheduled before tomorrow" in order for this to work. Please try it for a few days and see if you can get used to the fact that tasks are scheduled in the past. I know it'll feel weird/uncomfortable at first. But I, for example, got used to it. |

Unfortunately that idea doesn't work for me. I create a lot of tasks, and put target dates on them, but don't want to have to look through the large list multiple times a day. I go through it at the beginning of the day and pull in the important ones to work on them that day. That gives me a much smaller list to focus on and is less overwhelming. Often if a task doesn't get done after a long period of time I might remove the date from it completely, or I'll push it farther out in the future. |

I love the tasks plugin and it has literally changed my workflow for the better. I now have a task dashboard that includes queries for Late tasks, tasks due today, tasks due tomorrow, tasks due in the next two weeks and so on.
At the end of the day when I’m going through my “task due today” list, will sometimes edit the task using the pencil provided by the query results because I need to move the due date farther into the future. I’d love another button in the query results that would allow me to quickly move the task to the next day with a single click vs having to click to edit, tab down to the date field, type in ‘tomorrow’ and then save it.
Would this be possible to add? It’d be good to have an option in the tasks query to let you enable this feature for those that wouldn’t like it.
Thanks!!
