Understanding "state: Warm" message #837
-
Recently Obsidian has started freezing for one or two seconds when typing in a note The only message in the console when this happens is from this plugin
This happens also when I'm tying on notes that do not a query from the tasks plugin. Could you please help me to understand what could I do to minimize the problem? Thank you |

That message is just debug output. It says that your tasks blocks are being re-rendered. Some people have found that with large vaults, large numbers of tasks, and perhaps tasks code blocks that select large numbers of tasks, this can affect editing performance. But 297 tasks in your screenshot is not very big. We are tracking the issue in #697 - you can subscribe to that for updates. There are some comments in that issue of things that people have found helps a bit. Please can you confirm what the behaviour is like, when you turn off every plugin except tasks, and all CSS snippets, and use the default theme, then restart Obsidian and repeat the editing? |

Hi @stefanopagliari

Obsidian saves your notes automatically every two seconds, and this causes Tasks to re-read the current note being edited, and then to refresh all Tasks views in currently open notes.
