Hi @702573N, thanks for the question. I believe that the recommended solution to this is to pin the note that is sidebar, so that any links clicked inside it open in a different pane. I just tested this in Obsidian 0.15.3 and it worked for me. If it doesn't work for you, please provide more information about your setup. Thanks. |

I'm working with a custom callout dashboard for all my tasks, always pinned on the right sidebar. When I need to navigate inside a custom note clicking on a task-backlink, my pinned note is changed to the linked target. It's uncomfortable to navigate back any single time, especially when the forward/backward navigation buttons were hidden with Hider Plugin. An option to define how the backlinks should work could solve my problem. This can be a setting inside Tasks Plugin Settings or inside the query itself.
