The most valuable contributions come from parents who've been through the system. If you've found patterns, developed templates, or learned lessons that aren't captured here, share them.
This toolkit was built around Australian family law (Family Law Act 1975, Federal Circuit and Family Court). If you can adapt the legal framework, templates, or strategy guidance for your jurisdiction, that makes this useful to parents worldwide.
Jurisdictions we'd love to see covered:
- United Kingdom (Children Act 1989)
- United States (varies by state)
- Canada (Divorce Act / provincial legislation)
- New Zealand (Care of Children Act 2004)
- South Africa (Children's Act 38 of 2005)
If you've found that a template is missing a field, or there's a document type we haven't covered, submit it. The more comprehensive the templates, the less parents miss.
If you can write Claude Cowork skills and have ideas for new capabilities — mediation preparation, financial analysis, child welfare assessment — open an issue and let's talk about it.
If you can translate the Getting Started guide or key templates into another language, that extends the reach significantly.
Everything in this toolkit links back to sources. Don't add analysis frameworks or strategies that aren't grounded in real legal practice or real case experience.
Never include real names, case numbers, or identifying details in contributions. Use anonymised examples only.
This toolkit helps parents organise evidence and identify patterns. It does not provide legal advice. Make sure contributions maintain that boundary clearly.
If your contribution includes quotes or referenced statements, follow the attribution protocol in _system/attribution-standards.md. This isn't optional — accuracy is the foundation.

This project exists to help parents and protect children. Contributions must:
- Focus on the child's best interests
- Remain gender-neutral (the toolkit says "fathers" in some marketing because that's where it started, but the methodology works for any parent)
- Not advocate for any action that could harm a child
- Not include content that violates court orders or legal obligations
- Respect that both parents matter to a child's wellbeing
