Hi there,

Is there a way for the current OKTA SDK to support native authentication while still letting us manage the UI? It looks like the SDK is mainly set up for use with Chrome Custom Tab.

If native support isn’t an option, could we explore converting the Chrome Custom Tab UX into a WebView experience?

This SDK does not support native authentication. There is an option for doing this using our IDX SDK here: https://github.com/okta/okta-idx-android IDX is a lot more work to set up, and we are looking into adding a much simpler native UI (DirectAuth) to this SDK sometime in the future.

Unfortunately there isn't a more seamless experience than CCT for web login. WebView is not considered secure for signing in. The more suitable full-screen alternative is Trusted Web Activity, but this requires support for modifying assetlinks.json, which our backend doesn't currently allow.
