Ciphertext is too short

In the current state of `master` I run into a recurrent problem when trying to decipher the store from the current repository:

```
./trousseau --ask-passphrase keys
Passphrase:
            Error: ciphertext is too short
```

Let's investigate. Should be fixed as a side-effect of: #507
